And the real Zelda fans all gave a collective sigh when Linkle was revealed... Next thing you know there will be an old man, Asian, Indian, and African-American Link too. Politically correct Zelda.

Oh... My gosh... I'm actually having this conversation now... I acknowledge that the sky can be PERCEIVED as orange due to a layer of pollution that is continuously growing. That does NOT make the sky orange. Light from the sun shining through our atmosphere is a constant factor that has lasted billions of years. Therefore, the sky is blue. It's like putting on purple lens sunglasses and then

saying that everything in the world is purple. WE DON'T DUE THAT BECAUSE THAT'S NOT HOW THIS WORKS!! You look at the constant factor in this situation, which is light, and that determines your answer! Honestly, I didn't think that this convo would get to this point. Congratulations.

Carsten, the color you see depends predominantly on the light's path before it got to you and how whatever you're viewing reflects that light. Absolutes don't exist in color perception. If the sky is not orange when we perceive it to be orange, than neither is it blue when we perceive it to be blue. It is simply a matter of how the atmosphere is scattering the light at that time.

With the exception of specific story arcs as in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask or Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, we have a new hero every time in Zelda too. In Wind Waker, Link literally was just some random kid who was taught about the legend.

You're talking about exceptions. Light from the sun penetrating the atmosphere is a constant factor 99.9% of the time, thus the sky is referred to as blue. You are seriously arguing that the sky is orange... Wow. I'm impressed. I'm done with this conversation if THIS is what it's come to. Have fun playing with Female Link. It seems unoriginality I'd appealing to those of narcissism, in this case

Light from the sun only appears blue once it is scattered by the Earth's atmosphere. In some cases the atmosphere scatters the light in such a way that the sky appears other colors. Feel free to google this when you have the chance. By the way, the conversation has only come to this because you changed the subject instead of addressing my argument. Feel free to respond to it at any time.

Wow, this went from a post about a dislike for Linkle, and then somehow got to two guys arguing over the color of the sky.

Stinkle wasn't made for women. It was made for fan service oriented gender benders, which in my opinion is an even sadder reason to release a character than amiibos or being politically correct. Let's face it. Nintendo saw a market and decided to go there. Goes to show, they actually do read the troll posts on here and like the controversy. Guess that's why they really keep Miiverse...

Does anything really have color? Do we really exist? It seems in vain that these questions are asked. It doesn't matter what is or what appears to be on matters than cannot be changed (like the color of the sky). For Zelda, the timeline is still being made. What happens from here is up to them. Linkle is not a cannon character so it doesn't matter but I don't like the idea that is her character.

I know how colour works, dude. But light from the sun is a constant factor, as is the atmosphere around the earth. Therefore, an overwhelming majority of the time the sky appears blue. Because of this CONSTANT FACTOR it is classified as such. Pollution in the sky does not make a solid orange, but a mixture of several colours. Pollution is NOT a common factor because it varies substantially across

the globe. Therefore, you cannot classify the sky as orange. If you want to go into major technicality- which is despised by many in the scientific community because simplicity is always sought after- there is no colour to the sky. In fact, there is no colour! Only our perception of such. So in that case, what is perception, really? What is anything if the way we perceive things determines

everything? Oh snap, I just delved into the Observer Created Reality Theory, which is a more recent study in quantum physics that deals primarily with inter-dimensional studies and pure existentialism. According to the theory, for something to be real it must first be observed. But, in order for matter to have existed since the beginning of our relative time, does that mean there is some higher

At this point, you could argue that I'm just wasting my limited posts. You could assume that I'm just posting nonsense simply to fill up this comment chain to the maximum. You'd be correct.

Another thing about Observer Created Reality. Does that mean that we are actually real? Or are we a simple doll in the imagination of a larger self. Or, are we ourselves in a dream right now, so incredibly real and yet shielded from reality by a veil over our eyes? Oh the many questions this brings up.

Well said, Happymask. Carsten, the atmosphere is not a constant. Nor is pollution the only factor making the sky orange at sunset, the different angle which forces the light to travel through more of the atmosphere is the main culprit. The OCRT hardly applies here, but reminds me of the surrealist saying "Nothing... is object, all is subject." At sunset, we see the sky as orange, and so it is.
