    in the early game yes, After some fighting he shines as the Jack-of-all-trades of the three lords, faster but weaker than Hector, and stronger but slower than Lyn. With promotion He'll become one of your best units. But yeah, middle of the road means that he's kinda bland

    He needs training. A rapier in the woods with some mounted units to face should send you on your way.

    He's neither good nor bad. The Rapier's a great weapon. His support with Hector's pretty fast, and he gets the best promotion out of the lords, but that's offset by mediocre bases, mediocre growths, and swordlock until promotion.

    Putting my bias against Eliwood aside for a bit, overall I'd say he's just average. It doesn't help that, alongside Hector and Lyn, two of the best main characters in the series, he looks like he's standing still.
