Going for Hector mode (Normal)! Had a feeling that this was going to happen. Predictions: Obvious Hector is main lord so he'll be seizing thrones. Maybe a couple extra/different chapters and characters. Tougher enemies overall. Different map layouts (if there are repeat chapters.)

There are two new sidequests, two new recruitable characters, and 4 new chapters. One of the sidequests requires you to get Nils to level 7 in Lyn's Story and kill Kishuna in chapter 18x to get it. If you get all the sidequests, you get the real ending.

Thanks for letting me know! Do Lyn mode stats transfer to Hector Mode or does it go straight to Eliwood mode?

You can choose between the two. I'd recommend going Lyn Hard Mode since there are no tutorials and you don't have to prepromote Wallace. And if you want to know about getting the other characters and sidequest, ask me and I'll gladly help.

Thanks again! Are any of the recruitable characters in a sidequest/require a specific character(s) or requirement? Also, is arena abuse recommended? (I'm not planning on going for S/A ranks until all difficulties and modes are beaten.) Also, do any of the 2 recruitable characters outshine any character that I showed in that "What do you think of my team?" post? Also Nino: Yes or no?

Well, you get the third pegasus sister, Farina, and she needs 20,000 gold to be recruited. She's really good (and if you give her Afa's Drops, she'll cap almost all of her stats except luck) and you can perform the triangle attack if you are using her sisters as well, plus she can marry Hector and they're cute together, imo.

Alright, Farina probably already has amazing growths rates I'm guessing. I may still use it on Nino... She was like 1 of 3 characters who could double the dragon... and two of those characters would either die or not do any damage. (Also spoilers because some people may have not beat the game.)

Nino can be used, but why not use Pent or Erk (they can be almost as good)? I'd recommend trying characters you've haven't used before to see how they play (like Sain, Florina, Dorcas, Bartre, Lowen).

Oh, and there's also Karla, who you can recruit by getting Bartre to a level 5 warrior and talking to her in the shopping sidequest. She's a prepromoted Swordmaster who's decenr but majorly overshadowed by Karel (her brother) and Guy.

I'm already planning on trying Rebecca and Kent. I may use Erk but Nino was just AMAZING in Eliwood mode. I doubt she'll be useful for hard modes though. I'd probably use Erk before Pent though. Also, I'd prob. try Farina instead of Fiora and Bartre. (Bartre barely got use because of Dorcas getting Lyn mode stats.) I may use Serra instead of Priscilla or Lucius.

Alright. I'll probably get Karla just for all characters reasons. Kinda funny as I was making the post to try Bartre as you posted about Karla. I may try Karel or Guy but there's already Lyn, Kent, Eliwood, and Raven as sword users so it may be redundant. Also forgot to mention trying Matthew instead of Jaffar/Legault... and if I use Nino I'll prob. use Canas for supports.

Serra also can support Erk so that works out. And if you want a strong and fast character, try Rath. He can double the Dragon and do a lot of damage as well.

Ah, I completely forgot about Rath!.. That's my bad. Rath would probably be really good because of his horse and ability to use swords after promoting I'd guess. Also, what the heck happened to Wallace? I didn't see him again after Lyn's mode.

That's because you got the Linus version of Four-Fanged Offense. You see, you get Linus' version (the one where you recruit Gietz) if the sum of your Lords' levels is 50 or higher. You get Lloyd's version (the one where you recruit Wallace) if the sum of your Lords' levels is below 50. If you don't prepromote Wallace in LHM, then he will return unpromoted in Eliwood or Hector's story.

Wallace has higher strength, skill, luck, and resistance growth than Oswin, but has slightly lower speed than him (and one less Con but none of the weapons he can wield are above 15 weight, only exception is the Devil Axe). Wallace is good, but Oswin is technically better since he joins earlier.

Ah ok. I'm not sure about doing the Lloyd version as he was difficult to fight in Cog of Destiny. Oswin was already amazing and a lot of the problems in speed/resistance is replaced with the amazing Uber Spear. The Hammerine staff makes it have up to 57 uses if you use it 14 times before using the Hammerine staff. (Obtainable in the same chapter as the Uber Spear, as you probably know.)

Lloyd is still a hard boss but not as hard as he was in Cog of Destiny. If you want Wallace, go for it. I enjoyed using Wallace and he'd be better than Oswin if he wielded the Uber Spear. His luck and resistance also means his chances of getting crit or killed by magic user is lower than Oswin's. If you want him, go for it but make sure the sum of all your Lord's levels are below 50.

Ok. The Lloyd moving in fog of war makes me feel a bit worried about that chapter. I'd probably try it out in another Eliwood normal playthrough. The Linus version makes me feel safer about attempting it just because of no fog of war.

Hector Normal Mode and Eliwood Normal Mode are equal in terms of difficulty, just some of the claases of the enemies you face are different in both.
