    Nothing in his dialogue seems to suggest that he did. If anything, this is more like Murdock telling his subordinate to shush.

    I disagree about that. The fact that the generic soldier portrait leaves the moment after Murdock says be still and the fact that whoever visits this villiage is shocked by what they see both could imply that Murdock killed the soldier. The be still line could also imply this. However, all of this evidence could be taken both ways so there is no concrete yes or no to that question.

    Murdock is more loyal to Zephiel than to Desmond, so I don't think he would kill a soldier for talking trash about Desmond. But he certainly would tell that soldier to shut up if he suspected that they were being overheard.
