    Let me correct shy guy here, no that is not the costume you get when you first use an Amiibo. Certain Amiibo will give you that costume by default. That includes: Chibi-Robo, any of the Animal Crossing Amiibo, and any Pokemon amiibo. The reason why Pokemon amiibo don't work, is because Game Freak also owns them and for some reason didn't want them in this game. I don't know why, but they just did.

    Aside from those, all other Amiibo will give you costumes for the individual Amiibo except the ones I listed. Granted whether or not Yoshi's Woolly World will be updated to be able to use Lucas, Roy, Ryu, Cloud and the final Smash Bros character for Yoshi costumes, will have to be confirmed later on.
