Aureola is effective against it. And you could always do the final chapter again if you have the save file.

Yeah, no doubt. I'm just dumbfounded by my brainfart because I had given Athos Excalibur from another unit. I beat the dragon just fine, so I'm willing to have my revenge with Lucius on my next playthrough with the knowlegde I have now. Thanks :P
