    They have been able to in the last few games and by leveling up enough in the one before so probably yes.

    No, I don't, I just assume that it's like the last mystery dungeon, where you had to make it through the main story to evolve. Then again, there's Mega Evolution in this one, so I don't really know.

    I've looked up the Internet and yes, you have the choice to evolve Pokémon later in the story.

    The game only came out here 2 days ago. I don't think most people even beat the story yet. But yes, evolution is a thing once the main game's cleared.
