with me.. its when a friend puts anime on an immortal pedestal (immune to criticism without getting buthurt) & never shuts up about it. did you know in Japan "otaku" is Not a nice thing to call someone?

I have a few friends like that... one will NEVER shut about DBZ and Soul Calibur. I like Dragon Ball just fine, but, not on an immortal level.

Obsession towards anything is not healthy personally im tired of anime getting treated SO SPECIAL that it monopolizes all other animation styles, thats going to lead to bad things in the artist world. anime is just a different style yet its in a separate genre completely.
