Question

Who here thinks they may update the game with more player options later on? I don't really care for the starters or pikachu and riolu...

I mean it's better than the 5 options from the last game, but Explorers of Sky gave you a fair few options who weren't starters.

    I really don't care for Riolu. Pikachu is the series mascot, what do you expect? I love having all the starters. All i need is the Gen6 starters, really, but it's nice. I did kind of want eevee back, but it would screw one of the game's mechanics. ( not going to say it, in case you didn't reach that part )

    I don't have the game because I don't really care to play as any of the optional characters. I guess I was spoiled when Sky Let me make a team of two of my favorite pokemon: Shinx and Vulpix.

    There's also 6 more starter pokemon than what existed back in gen4, so the non-starters had to go down. There's actually about the same amount as Sky (19+2 partners) as opposed to PSMD's 21). It just seems lower since Sky had more non-starters. I do understand though since I played Eevee in both RRT and Sky, and I'm not really a fan of the newer starters.

    I'm still glad the newer ones are at least there since some people like them. (And not having gen6 starters in a gen6 game would definitely be weird). And honestly, I don't think an update's likely. But yes, Sky's starter choices probably did spoil you a bit.

    Yes there is about the same amount, but the hardware is much better than what the ds had, so bigger and better isn't too much to ask for. I never said not include the gen 5 or 6 starters, I just want more. I may be in a very small minority, but it's worth noting that this choice cost GameFreak at least one sale.

    I really don't care for more starters. I could do with Shinx and Meowth back, since it was pretty fun to play as them, but i don't need the others. The starters are some of my favorite pokemon.. so yeah.
