    I believe you have to scan a Yoshi Amiibo to get that.

    You can't "unlock" the normal yoshi. The only way to play as normal Yoshi is to go into a level, tap a mario party or Smash Bros Yoshi amiibo onto the game pad, and then kill the Yoshi you're playing as so you switch to control "non-yarn" Yoshi. Hope this helps~

    You tap a SSB4 or Mario Party amiibo, scan it like you would a Yarn Amiibo to play as Double Yoshi, and once you beat the stage you're in you'll find the non-yarn Yoshi in the amiibo hut.
