Fun Fact: In the bad ending of the first Pikmin game (when you don't collect all the parts in time) the pikmin actually did that when Olimar's spaceship crashed back down! What came out of the onion? Dead Olimar with a leaf on the head! The pikmin were happy when they saw Olimar come out with the leaf, so maybe they thought it would bring him back to life? Nah, they just wanted more pikmin.
