    Basically you just fall down and if you're in Survival mode, you lose the item you're holding. It says "You died" and you have to wait for the respawn timer. When the time's up, you respawn in the same place you died. The same thing happens in Creative mode, except you don't lose anything.

    I've tried multiplayer and there's a Player vs. Player survival mode. Collect resources, make weapons, and kill the other players. No Ants or friendly animals show up in this mode.

    Actually it's good to kill animals in Survival because if you walk across a dead animal you get food from it. Eating food refills your hearts.
