I think I've figured out why I'm the only one that seem to think this game isn't that good, most of the players are new to the PMD (Pokémon Mystery Dungeon) series and haven't played truly a great PMD game... I'm just gonna say it EoS (Explorers of Sky) was much much better and I doubt they'll ever make a PMD game anywhere near as good as EoS again..

  • Yup, why did they even include pushing here when most of the time, you want to switch... That wastes some fullness lol.

  • @kaito i actually love the pushing. i push stronger teammates into strong foes so they can take them out. teleporting gone, when you have a water type pokemon walking on the water. you can just push them back to continue to the stairs, instead of searching for them around the floor trying to keep them alive.

  • I've played every MD game there was, and i don't really like EoS ( excluding the bonus episodes, i liked those ) It was so boring, in my opinion.. The story didn't even really intrest me.. And most people hate on GTI ( and maybe they'll start hating this?? ) because it was " Inferior to Sky " All of the people that think that way need to like it for what it is. Yeah, my opinions are weird..

  • Well, I understand that PSMD isn't a bad game but to me it just doesn't have the same feeling as previous PMD games. Plus, I really hate that the game treats me as a child

  • @puppy: Sky didn't have as many species as Explorers... They cut too much.

  • I meant Infinity (GTI). Sky IS Explorers.

  • Can I ever recruit Pokémon from dungeons or am I just wasting my time?

  • Now replaced by the connection Orb, making evolution useless :/

  • So basically they ditched the difficulty grade for random crits and having your attacks miss constantly, condescend to you by giving you a SIX hour tutorial phase and having NPCs treat you as a child, take away random rewards for adventuring like finding great items or having random Pokémon join you, AND take away your ability to customize your team by limiting your access to new party members....

  • A ton of people were complaining how easy ( not ) gti was. So i guess they thought you guys wanted very high difficulty. I'm not having much trouble.. ( i've played every PMD game a lot of times, so i dunno ) but still. And GTI was NOT easy. I hate that Glacier palace, i needed pretty much a full bag of reviver seeds for that one. All i'm saying is i like GTI and dislike sky, so don't judge :3

Many of the changes, including shove and changes to AI, mean that it actually feels like you're fighting as a team most of the time instead of just being one hero with occasional backup. I use shove frequently so teammates can get the first hit with the ideal move, while making sure they don't burn through PP for distance attacks too fast. (Toggling their attacks instead is a bigger hassle.)

  • It's not that it's too difficult, it's just inconvenient, there's no increase in difficulty because the game is more based on luck than skill. Nine out of ten times I didn't die because of lack of planning or lack of skill, I died because bad luck, taking a random crit, my attacks missing, or having my partner walk away and get separated from the group. It's not hard it's stupid

  • Also they made the standard team size smaller which makes me angry >:E

Maybe we're just using different moves or Speed stats, but I didn't notice misses happening more often than past games. To describe the difference another way, the enemies cause and receive more damage, but the game gives you more ways to overcome them (Emeras, Wands, Alliances). This is the only game where I felt a thrill in more dungeons than not by finding a way through.

  • Maybe but either way I had seven consecutive attacks miss without my accuracy having been lowered or my opponents evasion having been increased, not just one attack but several. that's messed up

  • i have to agree about the less number on your team. but i kinda understand that all teams in pmd past were 3 stabled. team riders and others. i was also one's to miss serval attacks in dungeons. with or without debuffs. i wish i didnt have to do the main story right away. instead do dungeons to lvl up and farm.
