    The game will let you know when you arrive on the floor that has the secret base (then, it just becomes a matter of finding the room that serves as the base, which is always large and has a lot of items). Then, depending on the client, you get 2+ Connections or the party leader gets stuck in the middle of a Monster House (Connection earned if the leader successfully reaches the stairs).

    It depends on the client -- typically, cute and innocent-looking Pokemon would introduce you to some friends in the middle of their base (ex. Smeargle, Ninetales, Buizel, Corsola, Corphish, female Nidoran, etc.). Meanwhile, shadier and tricky Pokemon would put the leader in the middle of a Monster House (ie. Gyarados, Golduck, Zoroark, Rotom, Snover, Dragalge, etc.).
