how do you level up with out the game wanting you to move foward with the story? say i want to lv charmander and totodile [ the two i picked as me and my pargner] would i pick two others in the main part to have them free on on the p-island?

    i'm already doing them i just cant figer out how to get them to be selectable. it shows their icon windows as closed.

    Then I'm not sure. I know your partner gains exp even when you use other pokemon to grind, but I've heard people say their main doesn't gain anything from this though.
