Question

When the heck do we evolve?!

I just realized that both my Totodile partner and I (A Fennekin) are both at level 23, and still haven't evolved yet. Shouldn't we have evolved by now? I wanna be Braixen already! I hate all these Pokémon calling us kids! And yes, I know about the whole scarf thing, but that's only temporary. I feel like I've earned an evo by now.

    Postgame only for evolution. This isn't Gates where everyone other than starting duo evolves mid-dungeon as soon as the level req is hit. Like Explorers and Rescue Team, the levels to evolve should match the main games, but you need a postgame only zone to activate it. Most people beat the main game at around 23-29. There might be some minor postgame needed before you evolve, didn't test asap.

    So if you are high enough, you can go straight from fennekin to braixen to delphox if your level is high enough. I don't think there's any additional story lock between Braixen and Delphox. I ended up deciding to keep my Chespin and Piplup pair unevolved though. The stat gain is MUCH smaller than the one event (or even the main games) and I grew attached to earlier forms.

    after you finish the story, you can have lapras take you to the tree of life and xerneas will let you evolve
