Being an NPC in a video game would be the worst ever. You can only do what you were programmed. Your only purpose in life would be to help or hinder the Player Character. Being a Pokemon NPC would definitely be the worst. If you are a Trainer, your whole life would be waiting to battle the player. When you do, after you loose, chances are you'll have to stay there your whole life, or longer...
