    I'm 99% sure you can't. I don't even think that any pokemon are gendered, aside from a handful of pronouns here and there.

    Yeah that's what i meant, aside from the main/supporting characters, you can't really tell if any other pokemon are boys or girls. Not even you and your partner are technically gendered, much less the pokemon that you can recruit.

    Actually, you can chose whether your partner is a boy or a girl by answering cute or cool in the quiz at the beginning, but I don't think you can chose the main character's gender.
