    Well for one, you have two Fighting types and a Steel type against a Fire-Flying type. Second, those moves are not super helpful, since AI Pokemon pick moves at random to use. I would also recommend leveling up some.

    Alliances bulldoze bad type matchups, so. I always make it so they only use Water Pulse, Psychic, and Close Combat (Resilient Looplet negates lowering of stats) respectively. I'm stuck on floor 9, the boss is on the next. Do you seriously think I can do a lot of grinding here?

    Is it a story event, or just trying to connect with it? Because you could probably go to other places to grind levels. Also, don't use Close Combat, it's powerful but does half damage. Go with Night Slash or Psycho Cut, which have high-crit ratios. You could also put it to sleep using Hypnosis to keep it from attacking you.

    Just trying to connect. Thing is, again, Alliances deny the effects of bad type matchups, so CC gets its full power. And I can't afford to lose anything in my bag, so I can't give up. Probably just gonna have to...wing it. *ba-dum tss*
