Starters

My sister wants this game and is wondering if her and her partner can both be fire type. She wants to be charmander and her partner to be torchic. She won't accept totodile or treecko instead for the main character.

    You cannot. I was Oshawott, a water type. My partner was unable to be a water type.

    Unfortunately you can't have you and your partner be the same type, this mechanic has always been present throughout each Mystery Dungeon game. I also originally thought that you could have two Pokémon of the same type. I guess this is to prevent getting destroyed in a dungeon with many Pokémon that both types are weak to.

    I guess I just have to convince her to choose treecko as mega sceptile is a dragon type (even though normal charizard isn't because logic) I guess that will help her in the submerged cave difficulty spike, but not too much at fire mountain. Good thing I promised to rescue her whenever she dead.

    There can't be two fire starters at the same time because it will make your playthrough even more challenging.
