can u buy mincraft for the wii u only on nintendo shop

can u only buy minecraft wii u edition on nentindo shop and not at game stop or an actual store, like in a disk not in download content?

Mojang said they will be releasing physical copies in stores of Minecraft U in 2016, but right now it's eshop only.
