You know, I think the GBA Fire Emblem characters have the saddest backstories. Zephiel was ignored and constantly faced with assassination attempts, causing him to want to return the world to thr Dragons. Lyon only wanted to bring his father back and save his kingdom from ultimate destruction, but got possessed by the Demon King in the process. As for Nergal, he lost his wife, Aenir, to trappers-

, or something along those lines, and his two children, Ninian and Nils, went through the Dragon's Gate after he didn't come back. Nergal then turned to dark magic so he could gain the power to open the Dragon's Gate and get his children back. However, the darkness overtook him, and the only thing Nergal remembered was that he required power and he needed to open the Dragon's Gate.

Why do they do this? I feel so bad for them. I come to the point where I don't want to kill them. (Aenir was her name? Interesting... Where did you learn that?)

You know how, if you do all the requirements for the HM secret ending, Nergal's death quote is longer? Well, there's a typo there. When he says "...quintessence?" It's actually supposed to say "...Aenir?" Who is the dragon shown at the end of the game, with Nergal standing beside her.

I knew the dragon was his wife, but I didn't know her name. You have no idea how shocked I was when I saw the cut-sceen for Chapter: 19xx for the first time! On my first run, I thought "I will kill you! For Ninian!" Now, I say, "I'm sorry, Nergal. I wish I didn't have to do this..."

But, Lon'que is an ally. I feel terrible for characters like Nino. She has to watch her family die. However, Nergal is an "enemy". YOU have to kill him...
