I watched people play an early copy of the game. It is like Xbox One Edition.

Yup, absolutely. I'd be more open to it, if the Wii U Edition wasn't the most expensive version of Minecraft. It's last gen, with no exclusive features, and is forcing you to buy DLC, to help justify the price. I'll probably buy this edition out of pure curiosity, though I doubt I'd play it more than once. Inferiority shouldn't come at a superiority price.

Also, as far the reports are saying, Minecraft Wii U Edition has the PS3/360 world sizes, not the current gen sizes. The Wii U just can't handle the larger worlds, with only 1 GB of usable RAM. (last I checked, resource allocation was 50% usable, 50% OS)

  • Forgot about that...only one RAM available...downer...

Technically, the Wii U could support larger world sizes, and still perform relatively well. I suppose there must be a technical reason for this limitation. Perhaps the texture upgrade has something to do with it.
