So, they release a bare-minimum-effort port of a 6 and a half year old game, and they're asking $30 for it? Those fools had the Wii U Gamepad screen available to really make this the definitive version, and they just didn't bother. So, I'm not going to bother buying their lousy port.

  • If they think making DECENT ports to Nintendo consoles will 'lower their dignity', think about how their 'dignity' looks to Wii U and 3DS players everywhere!

    Yeahs0
  • Btw, can you join Wii U friends on this game?

    Yeahs0
  • And now they've released an inferior port of Minecraft, and then to really drive their point home about how inferior the Wii U version is, they update EVERY OTHER VERSION JUST ONE DAY AFTER IT CAME OUT! I was on the fence about getting this (if it had been a serious effort). But now, no. Just no. Not even if they update it in to some sort of dream-version with everything anyone could want.

    Yeahs2
  • The only reason I wanted this game was for 2 reasons: 1. I could play a version of minecraft (That's better than pocket edition) on the Gamepad while others are using the TV and computer, and 2. So I could play online with my friends (if that's even possible.) But now that I've seen that Mojang article, and the price, no. Just no.

    Yeahs0
  • Even worse, it's not every other version: IT'S EVERY OTHER CONSOLE (The ones exactly like Wii U) VERSION.

    Yeahs0
  • Charles: He actually said that. It's on his Twitter. Here's his actual quote: "Stop lying to yourself, the Wii U is not much more powerful than a PS Vita" Thomas: I think it's some weird marketing tactic to increase sales on other platforms. Like, "Wii U can't handle our game, so buy a collectors edition with $100 DLC on PS4!"

    Yeahs1
  • I believed you already, it's just hilarious and sad that he may actually think that.

    Yeahs0
  • The guy in charge of Project Cars pulled a similar stunt. It was supposed to come out on Wii U as well, but got cancelled so that they could virally market the stupid game as "so super-duper advanced that Nintendo just can't run it!"

    Yeahs0
  • Charles: I know...It's just that his quote is so phenomenally stupid that most reasonable people would refuse to believe that a "professional" game maker actually said such a thing in public.

    Yeahs1
  • That sounds SO idiotic... Are they pretending to make fools out of theirselves to make fun of Wii U?

    Yeahs2
  • In their minds, they think they sound cool and edgy and that their games would make a Wii U explode if someone tried to play them on one.

    Yeahs3
  • @Kevin: Keep cool dude! This guy you talk about (he actually calls himself a developer), is only embarrassing himself. So let him do that. He is a spain, angry little guy (similar to the F.E.Z.-maker). Trust me: 2015 is the year where everyone gets what he deserves ;) EA, Ubisoft and Activision are bleeding money right now (Ubisoft lost the most because of latest games which sold poorly)!

    Yeahs0
  • Yeah, it really does seem like the whole industry is self-destructing. And don't forget Konami's catastrophic fall from being one of the absolute best game companies to one of the absolute worst.

    Yeahs0
  • You can add Konami to that list, Smarty.

    Yeahs0
  • Agree to what you guys have mention! Also I'm quite happy with cube life update. I've been talking to them on fb. They had trouble contacting nintendo for the update. Bless them.

    Yeahs0
  • Back to the topic. Hopefully kevin that won't be the case. Ps3 Sold bad. Hopefully NX will make a change. I think I know what the concept might be. Playing HD games on the console while playing indie game on the controller. But I do believe nintendo is slightly missing the point with this idea.

    Yeahs0
  • thanks

Kinda sucks developers are always giving Nintendo the short end of the stick, going back to the binding of Isaac, if the developer needs an i7 to run a 2D game smoothly on the PC, sorry not sorry but you need learn how to write efficient programs, don't tell me to buy a top of the line processor to run your game when something like fallout 4 runs perfectly with an i5

    Yeahs0
  • It really seems like an extension of those childish "Genesis does what Nintendon't" advertisements from the early 90s. But you see how well that worked out for Sega...
