I just recently got my gamecube adapter, it works thankfully. I've been using my MadCatz GameCube controller and its amazing IMO, and I've been doing things I was never able to do on the ClassicPro such as pivot grabs and spot dodging, but here's the question... ARE 3rd PARTY [GC] CONTROLLERS LEGAL IN TOURNAMENTS? I'm not talking about small ones, I'm talking about EVO right now.. Just curious...

    Good question. Official EVO rules say that if it's a 3rd party controller that connects to a dongle, like the MadCatz ones, then it's accepted. (I don't know what they mean by 'dongle' x])

    Thank you so much for answering, I recently looked this up to see if they're legal, but apparently in small tournaments they're accepted, but in big ones like EVO the TURBO button cound be a red flag to some people so it's reasonable to "ban" them in big tournaments...

    Even wireless controllers are banned somehow, even the gamepad, 3ds, and 2ds...don't know if that applies to small tournaments as well...

    Couldn't reply to this for some reason. Anyway, from what I heard; the 2DS, 3DS & gamepad are prohibited because they cause interference. Not sure what they mean, but, why are Wii U pro controllers legal then? Rules are just 'funky'. I suppose they don't want wireless controllers 'cause every now and then people pull off that 'my controller powered off' move. x[
