Third Party Wii U Controllers

Has anyone else been having trouble using Third Party Pro Controllers? I have an Afterglow Controller and it keeps glitching on me when I try moving forward in a certain direction.

I think it is a bug, I tried playing with my brother and his character just kept going left/backwards with both analog sticks. I hope they release a fixing update soon
