No inventory management on gamepad?

I was surprised to see that the Wii U edition of Minecraft doesn't utilize the gamepad for inventory management. Minecraft is available on almost every platform other than the Game.com, so why not utilize the one feature that would've made the Wii U version perhaps THE definitive version? I hope the development team releases an update to make this a reality.

    mabe because not many people really cared about the game pad. i loved the idea of the game pad at first... untill my screen got shattered and spent $200 on another wii U just to play again. now i feel its just a bad gimmick. no im not saying the wii u is bad but ive been having so much trouble since my gamepad broke. i just hope the NX doesn't do something similar to this.

    I think the gamepad has a lot of untapped potential. Most third-party developers seem confounded by it, though, and just use it for off-TV play. That's what I think happened with Minecraft. I just find it hard to understand why the development team didn't immediately see the benefit of using the gamepad for inventory, which is kinda wonky to do on the regular Xbox/PS4 controllers.

    like i said if your gamepad screen is not working then you have limitations when it comes to gameplay that requires the touch screen functionality. take this from a girl who had experience of game limitations due to the gamepad not properly functional. i think its better to just add off tv play in my honest opinion.
