In Nintendo did localize Mother 3...

So, I truly believe they would use the Fan Translation. Why? Well, all Nintendo would have to do is E-mail the fan translaters and ask for the fan translation, if they say yes then Nintendo would just have to patch Mother 3 (and Rename it Earthbound 2 or Earthbound Endings) and sell it on the E-shop. Who else hope or thinks Nintendo will do this

  • They'll need to localize it, you know.

  • I'm sorry. I don't quite understand your comment.

  • Nintendo will need to localize it. The fan translation is just that-a translation. Nothing else is altered.

  • If Nintendo used the Fan translation, and sold that on the E-shop, then it would be technically Localized.

  • Dude, they want to maintain a T esrb rating. They'll need to change stuff so that it is appropriate for the region. That's what localization means.

  • The game deffinitly would be rated "T", and I've seen playthroughs of the Mother 3 fan translation (about 30 times from 3 different Youtubers) and the content and such looks apropriare for other regions.

  • What about the scene where Lucas learns PSI? Doesn't that seem...a little too mature for a T rated game?

    Yeahs0
  • Acording to Itoi, Lucas's head was just dunked underwater.

  • No, I don't think it's too mature for a T game.

  • But still. For all we know some adultery could be going on there.

  • True, true. But other T games such as Xenoblade had there fare share of adult stuff in it also. But, we don't need to continue this agreement, plus I'm running out of posts, so in an hour or 2 I'm going to close the comments.
