As a Minecraft beginner, I have a few questions...

What is the best material for mob-resistant structures including creepers? How can I herd friendly mobs like sheep into fences I made for breeding? I don't know any other questions... Until ready to face mobs, I'll remain in peaceful mode.

  • Obsidian is the only material that creepers can't destroy. For other mobs, any block can keep them out, as long as you light up the inside, no mobs will be able to get in. As for breeding, use wheat to lure cows and carrots for sheep.

  • Oh, and even though creepers can't destroy obsidian, nobody uses that to make a house. Like I said above, any block (wood, cobble etc) works fine at keeping any kind of mobs out.
