Opening multiple chests

Is there a special condition to have Klefki to open multiple chests? Klefki says it's a new service but it still opens only one each time.

    If you hadn't tried to buy or store different items, you wouldn't know. If you want to do all at the same time, L/R at the same time.

    The thing is, I've been using L/R to buy and store multiple items. I just didn't think to do the same for opening chests.
