Gold equipment Good or Bad?

Yes, we've all heard that a Gold brakes easy, but to me, gold is pretty great. Its more enchantable for starters, so put some unbreaking on it, with maybe one or two extra enchants. Not only that, but, by default, a gold sword does more damage than diamond, and a pickaxe mines faster than a diamond one, so does the axe. If it does the job better, i say use it.

They all are usually more effective than diamond, and are more enchantable to make up for it. Put some unbreaking on it, with a chance for some more too. only exception is the hoe and armour.

To me that makes up for how fast it brakes. also, a golden helmet is as good as an iron helmet, so you can get some better/extra enchants on that.
