If you want to get the maximum lives you have to do this glitch first. 1. This is not a complicated glitch. 2. You have to go to world 1 level 2. 3. Defeat a koopa troopa and do not brake the shell. 4. once you find that same small gap just like in my screenshot, you let go of the shell and start jumping until you get the maximum lives.
