    no. never waste your gold on weaopns and armor. it breaks faster than wood and leather. plus, the tools and even the sword do the same amount of damage as wood tools/weapons! though they are very effective, they break easily and are not recommended among others. but, gold can be used for clocks, blocks for beacons, or a currency for some villagers. you may also craft golden apples.

    Mhm, do NOT use it for armor & weapons. But things like Gapples (golden apples), clocks, beacon upgrades, and so on. Go to the Minecraft wiki if you need more info.

    nether reactors use gold i think but yeah dont use it for armor or weapons try using diamond or iron for that

    DO NOT USE IT ON ARMOUR OR WEAPONS! It will break very easily! You should use it for things the other commenters mentioned, like golden apples. Gold is one of the worst items in Minecraft, as it is one of the rarest ores to find and it's worse than wood!

    aahh what a creative idea pip! also i just read that with the Silk Touch enchantment on a tool, like a pickaxe, when u mine something itll give u the original block instead of the usual one, so yaa even more options to make a cool gold or whatever home :)
