    Ask the Lloid gyroid (you must have played enough to unlock the ability to customize). If you have Happy Home Designer, you even can import villager home exteriors that you designed. However, the method for doing so is undocumented and complicated. I explained it in a post a while back; check my Posts history.

    From your screenshot, it looks like you should have the ability unlocked. So tap on the gate and choose the option to customize the board instead of to play the game.
