Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon

Will spamming the same dungeon repeatedly progress the story? I hope the answer is no. after the 4th/5th boss, I started having extreme trouble passing through requests, and once I got to smokey mountain, I realized that it was pretty much impossible to continue. I wound up restarting my game. Is there a way for me to train my pokemon enough to not have that problem?

    You could do two or more connection orb request at the same time and yes spamming the same dungeon will progress the story

    So basically, if i don't defeat over a certain amount of pokemon per dungeon, i'm stuck. That's nice to know.

    Salamence or dragonite because they would start off as lvl50 or Lvl55 and they are not main or partner

    Thanks for all the help. If you have any other tips for training my main characters, or beating main storyline dungeons, I'd be thankful to see those. I want to confirm one thing: I've read that Unown doubles your exp. Is this true?
