    You can press + to Favorite a highlight reel (a replay of cool stuff that happened in a race, like item hits or jumping off ramps) and that way it doesn't stay in the Recents and get pushed through and replaced. You can look at the Highlight Reels in the MKTV(or Mario Kart Television) option on the main menu.
