Need help with a post-game boss

What lvl should my team be before I take on mewtwo? Also, how do I deal with his recovery move?

Bring in a pokemon that knows momento and a GHOST-TYPE pokemon that knows curse. Bring in a ban seed (or two) and throw it at mewtwo after it uses recover. This will prevent it from using recover again. When you enter the dungeon spam momento until mewtwo can only hit about 5 damage (about 3 times should do it). Then have your GHOST-TYPE use curse on mewtwo, this should keep damaging it.
