    Well if your cousins file has alot of rare stuff,you shouldn't delete it.But if you really want to delete it,you could just go in his file and drop all the stuff you want on the ground.Then go to your file and take all the stuff.Once your done,delete his file. If you want. My opinion is to keep his file and don't delete it till 3 months ends.
