Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition

I've always been wondering what this open circular spot located in the Hall of Heroes is for. It provides a really nice view and all, but could there be more..? I'm just going to assume that it may be an extra spot reserved for the 4.0 characters. What do you guys think?
