    If memory serves, one of the early prototypes calls it Starlight Zone due to being so early in development and being based on Sonic 1. Later prototypes call it Neo Green Hill Zone.

    I had to look up the early build to see if that was true but unfortunately that was incorrect. Emerald Hill Zone is called Starlight Zone in that prototype. The good news is the answer I was looking for was Neo Green Hill Zone. You are correct.
