Question

I need help.

This game is slowly making me lose my mind. I love to play For Fun (will never play For Glory), and I don't want to stop, but every single time I play, I find someone who uses the same character over and over. I actually target those people or refuse to help them if they're on my team.

    I don't see why it's a problem for someone to play the same character many matches in a row. Some people love playing their character.

    @Dr. Wahwee, not cool man, not cool. @Poprocks, I really don't see why that's a problem. There's "Mains" for a reason. Learn to adapt/learn to deal with said character? *shrugs* Which characters are often used in your matches?

    #Freewolf I've been playing Smash since Melee, I'm not new to the franchise. I just don't have a single character I always play, I'd get bored that way.

    I have no issue with people having Mains, my problem arises because those characters are ALL they ever play, and the lack of variety in fights involving these people makes the game get boring because it's the same opponents over and over.

    That, and because I refuse to use a character two fights in a row, I haven't "mastered" a single character and the people who have kick my can six ways from Sunday. I'm an atrocious loser, I'll admit it.

    Well, these people don't get bored from being a "character specialist". I was a character specialist in Melee, then I realized that I enjoy just playing Smash in general, so I try to use as much characters as possible. Maybe they just feel comfortable ONLY with the character they play?

    That would make sense. I used almost exclusively Link in Melee, but now I like to think I'm at least halfway decent with the entire Smash 4 roster. I was able to fight and beat difficulty 5.1 Master Core with every character in the 3DS version. I'm starting to think I'm just complaining about nothing.

    Game gets repetitive that way. It's for that reason I hate tournament rules and will likely never play For Glory.

    XD For Glory isn't bad! I play to have fun in For Glory. Works out well. Tournament play isn't boring to me.

    But that's you. Unlike a large majority of the smash community, I like randomness in my fights. Things happening out of nowhere keep you on your toes and keeps the fight interesting.
