    There are *much* older games that use a match 3 mechanic than Candy Crush, Columns and Klax being both over 20 years old now, and Bejeweled, which was the the 'modern' progenitor also being 10 years old now, and this game isn't particularly like any of those, except that you match 3 or more icons.
