The story of the original exists in X as a piece of folklore passed down by the Nopon from generation to generation. This hasn't been confirmed, but there's enough evidence to support it that it may as well be.

@Lelia well that would depend on the universe that Shulk creates at the end of Xenoblade being perfectly identical to the universe in X, and that's highly improbable given Shulk's limited knowledge of worlds outside his own

Possible spoilers to X I usually like to believe that the White Whale wasn't the only ship that managed to escape Earth (Possibly London, to easily explain why everyone have accents in the first game, and to name a popular area.), and NLA and London managed to meet, and settled on a planet. After Klaus (Zanza's real name.) destroyed the real world, he resurrected the Nopon species.

that isn't "hardcore lore," that's using your eyes Okay, not really. Consider the fact, though, that the Memory Space area at the end of the game was made up of our solar system, which is a pretty good indication that Klaus's satellite was indeed orbiting Earth. Since that's a relatively minor detail though, it'd be easy to retcon that planet to be Mira, which would explain the existence (cont)
