I hope the NX has backwards compatibility for both Wii U and 3DS. Mostly 3DS because Monster Hunter will play easier with a second stick that's not a nub like the ''NEW'' 3DS.

    I doubt it will have backwards compatibility to a handheld, but we don't know anything about the NX so who knows. It will be cheaper if its not backwards compatible

    The NX won't have backwards compatibility with the 3DS because it wouldnt be able to display the game in 3D

    It would be cheaper yes but backward compatibility, especially since not a lot of people owned a Wii U, would be a good move for Nintendo to show they have more games on their console VS the competition. The NX can have 3DS game especially if they keep the 3D function for the handheld if it's a hybrid console/handheld. If they can get 3D for the 3DS they can certainly do it for another handheld.

    Plus you don't need to use the 3D function anyways. It's always been optional from the start.
