Well, technically speaking, fear is subjective and changes from individual to individual as well as often changing due to tolerence of it over time. Also, rather tjen scary, many find the games to simply be fun or even interesting due to the large amounts of easter eggs and hidden lore blended in with it's unusual premise and gameplay.
