    In Megaman X, humans were still hunted down nonetheless. We're still in danger because robots progressed too far. I still love my robots, but people need to learn that once they can do what you and I can do, they'll be able to think for themselves. We can't enslave them, we must cooperate with them. I'm with Protect Robots 2K16 and onward, if you couldn't tell.

    The reality is, as robots develop, counter-AI movements develop as well. People are preparing to stop AI in its tracks if ever it becomes dangerous.

    There was/are bits about it in the Mega Man comic, I remember. (Countering robots/being unwilling to develop them further, IIRC) Granted, they were villians, because our hero is the Super Fighting Robot Mega Man, but at the same time there *were* protagonist-type people who made good counterpoints against the "hey, let's try and make robots human-esque".
