Yeah the plot of the game is, ganon has found a way to freeze time, and he takes advantage by taking Link's weapons away. So on Link's quest to retrieve them using never before seen weapons, a rival claimaint called Roger JV reaches the master sword before him and personally heads to defeat gannon himself for what he did to Roger in freezing his village. As gannon travels to meet him, Link follows

They find out gannon was using a device to freeze time and as they work together in the boss fight to defeat him, Roger JV obtains the device and freezes time but it's not as it seems as Roger wishes to take over hyrule with his new power which leads to the real boss fight, Link vs Roger JV!
