im told to be a man when no one has taught me.. my father thinks its best to go off and procreate and party than to grow up and take responsibility, they tell me im a man yet i have done nothing different in my life... what i have a job so that makes me a man? i was taught nothing about the real world, i live with my mother and she treats me like a kid, but tell me your gunna be 20 act like it..

    Wow, go off and pro-create and party? lol Your father has bad standards for not just being a man, but as a decent human being too. If my father told me that I'd look at him as if he's got another head growing. Being a "man" is what people say, yet half of these "men" can't do it themselves.

    To me, being a decent human being in todays society, helping others, being nice and sticking up for tnose who need it, would be considered a "real man" Animalistic men only think of pro-creating since it's built into our genetic code however, the brain controls all that and the heart makes decisions imo. I'm 14 years old, yet feel like I'm 45. I feel 100x's more mature thsn the average 14 yr old.

    Also, if nobody has taught you anything, then they had failed as parents. If anything, the parents 2 jobs are to provide love and knowledge, however, just surviving in the real world takes more points than anything. My parents taught my sisters and I from a young age morals and right from wrong.
