    The number of Exp. points you receive depends on the number of moves the level has. For example, Meowth stage has 8 moves, so your Pokémon will receive 8 Exp. points if you manage to beat it plus the Pokémon with the crown will receive 8 more. If you lose, you will receive half of those Exp. points.

    Actually the EXP is based on how much damage is done, so if you lose you can still get EXP.

    I don't have the numbers with me, but it depends on the base power of the Pokémon. A 30 BP Pokémon will need less Exp. points to level up than a 80 BP. Also, it's worth mentioning that each level requires a different amount of Exp. points. For example, the amount of Exp. points needed to go from level 5 to 6 is bigger than from level 1 to 5!
