Alright, so those seem pretty simple to achieve. Not good at timing my combos, but I'm working on those. I never realized really how important sunny day was. I'm using it a lot more now than I was however. But yeah, I can never get away from long range grabs, so I'm glad I finally have an effective defense.

Hey, I was also wondering what would be an effective way to avoid pikachu/pikachu libre's combos. They seem to deal a lot of damage and I can't get out of them once they start.

Unfortunately the only way is basically avoid to being hit... here where the combo starts, only stops if it finishes or if the player drops it. Charizard can get hard time avoiding it, but he may counter with < A, stunning the approaching Pikachu and then connect a fire punch. For Braixen is to stay at range.

Man, that stinks. Pikachu, suicune, and the mewtwos are all my worst enemies.

Suicune also it's annoying because the players like to spam, but I had an encounter with one where I managed to win by giving reading timing in his shots (spamers like to jump and spit quick shots to keep you at range in duel). I approached steadily and when he realized the jump I used the shield. He ended cornering himself because when I advanced, he retreated. Also despite his size, while ducks

Charizard can avoid some projectile attacks, like Mewtwo's hyper beam, so you can avoid damage in duel phase. In open phase when you see the opponent is prepared to shot a beam, jump and perform the X attack to fly directly toward him and land a hit, but if you are far away, cancel it with R. The ^A in both Mewtwos is the major treath, only skippable with the shield, because cannot be countered.

Well, I tested the combination of Braixen's power ups and Victini's and it is a great deal, making her a powerhouse. This is thanks to the Sunny day that allows to fill the support gauge as I explained. Strategy here is to use fire blast and Sunny day in open phase to fill the gauge, then when it's ready, enter in duel phase and then use Victini going for the kill. Same works with Evee.In Victini's

...case, if you summon him close to the opponent, Victini will damage him quite a lot while he ascends to leave the stage. It's an extra help

I don't think I have Victini as a support pokemon yet. I'll have to keep playing the tournament. I just wanted to let you know I'm getting a lot better with your advice. I'm already on rank E2! I've have also noticed that Braixen is very much a powerhouse. I'm liking her MUCH more as I go on. Also, Charizard is very good against Mewtwo. In fact I can only guarentee a win against him with Charizard
